Join YMCA of the Rockies in welcoming nationally acclaimed author James Edward Mills, author of The Adventure Gap: Changing the Face of the Outdoors, to Grand County. A book recognized by Outdoor Magazine as one of the most influential books on outdoor experiences during the decade of its release, The Adventure Gap explores our nation's outdoor spaces and the role diversity plays in recreation. Free and open to the public, the event falls during the 10th year of the release of Mill's work. James will be hosting a Q&A, while Mountain Shire Books will be present with copies of the book available for purchase, which can be signed by James at the event.

This event occurs in our Legett building on October 4th from 4-5pm. Directions and a map to the Legett building can be provided by front desk staff in our administration building.
