Marketing Updates (Miles Partnership - Carrie Tomlinson)
Website Update
Carrie has been monitoring the progress of the summer campaign and will be uploading updates on Basecamp.
July results- strong performance on online advertising.
Reviewing community advertising.
Top performers on the website are Grand Lake and Hot Sulphur Springs followed by the events page.
Mobile traffic to the website is also strong. Google makes changes constantly, and individuals/businesses/organizations that manage websites do not have control over these changes. The changes Google makes leave a high area of uncertainty.
Overall, Carrie believes that the visitgrandconty.com website has a high level of authority in search. In addition, the SEO and optimization that Miles is doing are proving successful.
The group is interested in learning about traffic trends (at the entry gate RMNP) and seeing if they correlate with website traffic.
Photo Shoot Update
Carrie discussed the changes to the photo shoot for the rest of the summer. They will replace the photo shoot at Granby Ranch with a trail-building event.
Jennifer wanted to confirm that Troublesome Fest was still on the photo shoot list. Carrie confirmed.
The group wants to secure photo shoots for October.
Misc.
Miles is working on 3-day itineraries to try to encourage longer stays (longer weekends).
Sustainability Grant Application Question
Carrie emailed Gaylene and Kristen to ask about applying for the CTO grant for Stand Grand.
Miles normally puts these grants together for GCCTB. The grant is a two-to-one match up to $25,000.00. She said that she needed to put the budget together.
Carrie then reviewed the grant's parameters, from how the match works to the type of information needed on the grant. The group asked if Miles could move forward with the grant application.
Digital Accessibility Updates
Carrie has a meeting with Miles's lead person who heads up digital accessibility. She will work on a plan to address the website's issues and believes that it is Miles' responsibility to ensure compliance.
