Clothing & Gear
- Layers of quick-dry clothing made of synthetics or a swimsuit
- Towel and change of clothes for after the trip
- Sun protection including sunscreen, sunglasses and/or a hat
- Secure shoes such as old trainers or sport sandals
- Life vests or any personal flotation device (PFD)
- Helmets for higher class whitewater rapids
- Waterproof / dry bag for phones, wallets, etc.
Food & Drink
- Reusable water bottle(s)
- Snacks to refuel such as protein bars or dried fruit
Extras
- Personal toiletries and medications such as Dramamine
- Disposable waterproof camera
- Cooler for food and drinks
- Camping gear for riverside camping
- Fishing equipment
For guided river rafting trips, rafts, paddles and PFDs are typically provided, and additional gear may be available to rent.
